SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego Men's and Women's Cross Country team is proud to announce their schedule for 2009. The Torero's will kick off their season at a familiar setting in Balboa Park on September 19, 2009. They will be racing in the local Aztec Invitational.
They will then travel to a new site in Stillwater, Oklahoma to compete in the oldest collegiate XC invitational in the country at the 73rd Cowboy Jamboree. The Toreros will face competition including Oklahoma State, Kansas, Indiana, Northern Arizona, and Kansas State.
The Torero's return home to compete at another local course at the UCSD Invite on October 10, 2009. The Torero's will follow with a road trip as they return to Sunnyvale, a competition they participated in six years ago, for the Bronco Invite in Sunnyvale, CA on October 17, 2009.
The squad will compete at the Fullerton Titan Invite a week prior to their West Coast Conference race. Both Men's and Women's teams will then race at the WCC Cross Country Championships in Belmont, CA on October, 31, 2009. Rounding out the regular season, the team will also race at the NCAA Western Regional meet at Eugene, Oregon on November14, 2009.
"We have changed our scheduled and have added some excellent competitive sites," said Coach Will Guarino. "We are looking forward to an excellent racing season for both of our squads."

Oct. 23 at the Titan Invite in Fullerton, CA at 5:00 p.m.
Oct. 31 at the WCC Championship in Belmont, CA at 9:00 a.m.
Nov. 14 at the NCAA Western Regional in Eugene, OR at 11:00 a.m.
