Marley Leads Toreros To UNLV Invite Title

Las Vegas - USD's Tiffanie Marley won the 6k women's race with a time of 18:40.51 at Saturday's UNLV Invite at Floyd Lamb State Park to lead the USD women to the team title. Marley finished more than 12 seconds ahead of UNLV's Michele Suszek who crossed the finish line in 18:53.21. Cassandra Chavez of USD came in third with a time of 18:58.89, Christal Cuadra of San Diego State was fourth with a time 19:35.87 and Anna Attano of Golden West College finished fifth with a time of 20:14.53.
The first-third finish of Marley and Chavez carried USD to the team championship as it scored a meet-low 36 points. San Diego State was second with 49 points, UNLV ws third with 57 points, Golden West came in fourth with 106 points and Cal State University Dominguez Hills finished in fifth with 127 points.
Other USD runners included Erin Cartaya (9th, 20:36.80), Rachel Erlandson (10th, 20:38.90), Becky Barron (13th, 20:45.07), Katie Reichert (19th, 21:13.34), Julie Golba (21st, 21:18.85), Autumn Gregory (28th, 21:46.69), Christie Osborne (30th, 21:58.08), Kelly Mazurek (31st, 22:01.93), Carman Curbero (38th, 23:05.92) and Stacy Brake (41st, 24:19.81).
