• Toreros Begin Season at Mark Covert Classic


    The Torero cross-country team kicked off the 2014 season with a strong start at the Mark Covert Classic Saturday morning. Freshman Liam Burke captured first place in his first career race as a Torero to vault the men's team to a fourth place finish.

  • Torero Track Train Steams Through Occidental...


    The Torero season finished this past Saturday night at the Occidental College Track Invite. It was the final performance for some seniors: Gillian Gorelik, Erik Anderson, and Rudy Mendoza. The outcome of the competition brought the Toreros seven personal records, and 10 season bests, and one school record.

  • Toreros Triumph at Triton Invitational


    It was a successful day for the Torero track team at UCSD's Triton Invitational. In rain and shine, the men and women's teams racked up powerful performances and personal bests. According to assistant coach Kirstin Allen, "It was a good day for us. The girls did really well. Same with the guys, even though they ran unattached. All in all, it was an awesome meet."

  • Gillian Races and Delivers Another USD Record


    Good Friday delivers good news of Thursday's late night 10,000m women's race. Gillian Gorelik delivered a superlative performance at the 2014 Mt. Sac Invitational Silver Elite race. She finished 16th place out of 39 individuals and finished with a time of 35:28.79 in the 6.2 miles race. She averaged 5:43 seconds per mile, and had a ferocious finish to pass so many on the last lap.
