• Mattice leads USD to 9th place finish


    Sam Mattice once again paced the Toreros at the Bronco Invite Saturday morning. The freshman posted a team-best time of 20:51.82 for 14th place to help the Toreros earn a ninth place overall finish (out of 21 teams) in the 6k Invitational. Sophomore Malik Hayes had the top time for the men's team, finishing in 25:22.41 in the 8k Invitational.

  • Toreros Compete in Paul Short Invite


    The USD men's and women's cross-country teams raced in the 41st annual Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Penn. Saturday morning. The race is one of the biggest cross-country races in the country, featuring over 5,000 runners and 400 colleges and high schools. Sam Mattice had the top time for the women's team as she continued her impressive freshman season with 54th place finish and a time of 21:12 in the Women's College Gold 6K.

  • USD XC Travels East To Paul Short Invite


    The University of San Diego men's and women's cross country teams will head to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania this Saturday to compete in the 41st Annual Paul Short Invitational, presented by Asics and Schuylkill Valley Sports, at Lehigh University. The men's college gold 8K race is slated for an 8:00 a.m. start, with the women's college gold 6K race following at 8:45 a.m.

  • Sam Mattice delivers Top USD Time


    Friday night, the men and women's cross country team packed up the vans and traveled to Riverside to compete in the UCR Invite. This meet marked a great step into the upcoming season. The Toreros' Sam Mattice turned on the heat and took home 15th place, leading the women to an 8th place finish out of 23 teams.
