Balboa Park: "Do you fancy photography, folk art or fossils? Are you crazy about cars, trains and planes? Or mad about Old Masters and maybe mummies? Batty for baseball? Or do you just get a kick out of critters like koalas and kangaroos? You can explore all these wonders and more in beautiful Balboa Park, the largest cultural complex west of the Mississippi."

Beaches: If "life's a beach," then San Diego County is the place to experience it to the fullest, with 70 miles of sand and sea stretching from Oceanside at the north of the County, to Imperial Beach close to the Mexican border. Within those limits lie more than 33 beaches, each with a look and personality all its own. There's a beach for the surfer, the snorkeler, the sightseer, the shopper, the sunbather and the swimmer.

Mexico: San Diego is situated thirty minutes north of the international border. A short car ride or trolley trip will put you in festive Tijuana. Here, you can explore the colorful shops and bazaars, try to strike a few bargains and enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine.

Nightlife: San Diego's exciting nightlife will keep you dancing until the wee hours of the morning. Explore Downtown's Gaslamp district, eclectic Hillcrest, or the bustling beach communities for hours of evening fun. From casual seaside nightspots to upscale dance clubs you'll find what you're looking for in San Diego County.

Neighboring Cities: Coronado, "The Crowned City," is the queen of San Diego's neighborhoods. Visit the beautiful beaches or Historic Hotel Del Coronado.
