San Diego Falls 4-3 in Series Finale at Pacific

Delgado's two-run triple pulls Toreros within one in the sixth, but Tigers hold on at Bill Simoni Field

STOCKTON, Calif. — San Diego softball (18-30, 4-11 WCC) rallied for three runs but couldn't overcome a four-run fourth inning by Pacific (18-34, 6-12 WCC), falling by a 4-3 margin on Sunday afternoon at Bill Simoni Field to close out its final road trip of the season.

The Toreros got on the board in the fourth with some heads-up baserunning — Kaylee Oh singled to lead off, moved to third on a Michelle Delgado single, and both runners executed a double steal with Oh swiping home to put San Diego on the board. The Toreros trailed 4-1 heading into the sixth before Delgado delivered again, lining a two-run triple to center field to score Taylor Johnson and Oh, pulling San Diego within one.

Pacific held the Toreros scoreless over the final two innings to preserve the win. Charlie Johnson started in the circle before making way for Alex Riggs and Kaitlyn Bartlow in relief.

The Toreros will be back in action on Thursday as they host Seattle for their final three-game series of 2026. First pitch in the series opener at the Reggie Smith Softball Complex is set for 6 p.m.
